Updating the SLD Web Site

Hello! Thanks for your interest in improving the SLD web site. I appreciate your help. The most important step is to make sure the Society has correct information! Large portions of the website, including the chapter and quartet pages are generated from database files provided by Society HQ. If I have bad information, it's likely they do, too. If you send me an update, it will only last until the next time I get the database from Kenosha, so make sure you get it straightened out with them. The SPEBSQSA Members Only Site is a great place to start.

Problems/Solutions

My name/address/phone/email is incorrect.

Update the Society Database using the SPEBSQSA Members Only Site's Update your member information page.
Send email asking me to get a new copy of the Society Database.

The chapter officer listings for my chapter list the wrong people.

Have one of your chapter officers update the Society Database using the SPEBSQSA Members Only Site's Report Chapter Officers page.
Send email asking me to get a new copy of the Society Database.

My chapter's web site, meeting night or meeting location are incorrect.

Contact the Society's helpful Membership staff (800-876-SING Ext. 8475 or <membership[at]spebsqsa[dot]org>) to have them update the Society Database.
Confirm that the Society Database has the correct information by using the Chapter Locator.
Send email asking me to get a new copy of the Society Database.

Please list the members of my quartet.

These requests are easiest to process when they include the following information:

Society member numbers and voice parts of all four members
Quartet name
Quartet number

My quartet's information is incorrect.

At this point, the District web site only lists District-sponsored events. The Seneca Land Yahoo Group is the perfect forum to use to invite other barbershoppers to chapter shows. The Society also provides a show listing service. Ask one of your chapter officers to add the show using the SPEBSQSA Members Only Site's "Register Your Chapter Show" feature.

If you are still sure this is something that requires my attention, please be sure to include the URL of the page with bad information if sending me corrections. Copy and paste the address from your browser into the email.

PS: please don't attach files to your email. Instead, FTP them to ftp.senecaland.org and put them in the incoming folder. You won't be able to see them once they're there, but that's a security feature. Be sure to email me with the name of the file you uploaded and how I'm supposed to use it.
